About Exploit4InnoMat

Our Scope

The Exploit4InnoMat OITB (or Ecosystem) aspires to provide a sustainable solution across Europe for the design, upscaling and validation of new material concepts for the building envelope that will facilitate in the achievement of the EC target for nZEB

Our Mission

The core mission of the Exploit4InnoMat project is to establish a sustainable Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) across Europe. This platform is designed to support the design, upscaling, and validation of new advanced and nano-enabled materials for building envelopes, helping to meet the European Commission's targets for nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) and contribute to climate-neutral goals by 2050.  repairs. Our team of professionals is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, on-time completion, and within budget.

OITB Ecosystems

 The OITB ecosystem aims to:

  • Reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the building sector.
  • Facilitate the use of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) as secondary raw materials.
  • Promote materials with lower embodied energy and better environmental performance.
  • Create healthier indoor environments with materials offering improved insulation, thermal comfort, and cleaner air.

Wide Range of Services

To achieve this, Exploit4InnoMat provides a range of services through its pilot lines and service groups, ensuring the entire material supply chain is supported from design to end-of-life scenarios. The project fosters cooperation between SMEs, large enterprises, and research institutes, promoting business models that support innovation and sustainability in the construction sector

Our Team

The Exploit4InnoMat Consortium includes well known organizations across 9 European Member States (more specifically: Greece, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Romania and Lithuania).

There is a direct and clearly identified need to involve close nations such other European countries in order to maximise/fully increase the overall European competitiveness; as such, Norway (2 Partners), United Kingdom (1 Partner), Turkey (1 Partner) -associated countries to the EU- as well as Switzerland (1 Partner) -non-associated third Country as per the EU List of participating countries- have joined forces and are an integral part of the Consortium, based on their niche expertise, technological/industrial know-how and close connection to their corresponding national manufacturing ecosystems. These Organizations will allow to communicate and disseminate the Exploit4InnoMat Consortium message to industrial organizations in these important industrial countries in Europeteam is dedicated to providing personalized service to each of our clients.

 -  Exploit4InnoMat will create European networks along the value chain, giving industry easy access to pilot infrastructures and services. These networks will connect users across Europe, sharing best practices, identifying innovative technologies, and linking users with suppliers to foster investment and business growth. Collaboration between experts will boost profitability, reduce time to market, and help SMEs with limited R&D resources increase flexibility. By transferring knowledge and resources, participants will enhance innovation capabilities. The OITB will also identify future innovators by tracking technology changes, engaging stakeholders, analyzing research, and monitoring market and policy trends.

Innovation 2: Ecosystem advantages on materials development - Enhanced performance:

Exploit4InnoMat is a one-stop- shop offering all the services needed to make commercial applications, based on open technological infrastructures, crucial to the technology maturation. It has been decided that the Ecosystem will be represented by a Single Entry Point. The SEP will be established in month 12 of the project and will have the mandate to represent the OITB, closing agreements and signing contracts with the potential customers, being in accordance with national and EC regulations. Thus, the administrative burden for the customers will be minimum as they will come in contact only with the SEP structure.
